A |     Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, has been cleared for release by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). This has come after a week of legal and emotional scrutiny. The film was initially challenged in the Delhi High Court by the parents of late Major Mohit Sharma. He was a decorated Army officer. The film was at the centre of controversy after online chatter suggested the storyline mirrors real-life events. The High Court had directed the CBFC to examine the family’s objections and consult the Indian Army if needed. On Tuesday, the board approved the film, categorising it as a fictional work.     Speaking exclusively to HT City, Major Mohit Sharma’s brother, Madhur Sharma, responded to the development. “I am sure the board followed the required process, and they acted quickly, which is a good thing,” he said. People who lived with him are better positioned to recognise if any part resembles his life.”     As social media intensified comparisons between Ranveer Singh’s character and the late officer following the trailer launch, Madhur himself had posted concerns online. He clarified why the family still went ahead with the petition: “There was a 36–48 hour gap between my tweet and Aditya Dhar’s clarification. The petition was filed within that window.”     Madhur maintains the family isn’t seeking compensation or credit, only transparency. “We’re not asking for anything. We just want empathy. If the film is inspired by him, acknowledge it. If not, state clearly that the speculation is incorrect. This is about respecting every family that has lost a soldier.”     The family will consult their legal team before deciding next steps.     Also Read: Photos: Ranveer Singh Uplifts Dhurandhar’s Music Launch With His Electric Energy。    (ECNS) -- China's auto exports are expected to surpass 10 million units this year, industry insiders said recently at the 2026 Global New Energy Vehicle Cooperation and Development Forum (GNEV2026).    Jiang Yaoping, vice minister of Commerce of China, said reaching the 10-million-unit export milestone would represent a historic leap for the country's auto industry.    Data from the General Administration of Customs showed that China exported 6.399 million vehicles during January-July 2026, up 53.7% year on year, setting a new record.    Chinese brands are receiving unprecedented attention globally, an industry expert said, noting that Chinese automakers have performed well in major markets. In Europe, for example, their monthly market share has exceeded 11%.        However, Chinese automakers face an overlooked obstacle as they expand overseas. There are concerns in some destination markets that Chinese companies could displace local manufacturers and squeeze domestic supply chains.    An executive at a multinational auto parts company told a CB.COM reporter that localization should go beyond simply hiring local workers and sourcing components locally. Instead, he said that Chinese companies should strengthen the capabilities of local industries, enabling them to build more competitive industrial ecosystems. He added that partnering with or acquiring existing production capacity is a more practical and efficient way for Chinese automakers to achieve localized production.    Experts said China's auto industry should shift from "passively integrating into global markets" to "actively developing a global presence," while upgrading local industries.    Chinese automakers, they said, should bring the advanced capabilities they have developed in manufacturing, technology and management to overseas markets, while encouraging Chinese auto parts suppliers to expand abroad alongside them.    (By Gong Weiwei)                            。
